Assistant Football Coach, Defensive Line

Position Overview:IMG Academy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedAssistant Football Coach Defensive Lineto join the Junior National Football Program. This coach will be responsible for the technical development physical preparation and personal growth of student-athletes competing at a national level while supporting the overall mission and standards of IMG Academy Football.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

On-Field Coaching & Player Development:

• Coach and develop defensive linemen with an emphasis on technique fundamentals effort and discipline
• Teach position-specific skills including stance get-off hand usage block destruction pass rush and run fits
• Assist with practice planning drill design and daily on-field instruction
• Support game planning opponent breakdowns and in-game adjustments

Program & Team Support:

• Assist the Head Coach and Coordinators in implementing team culture standards and expectations
• Contribute to film breakdown self-scout and opponent analysis
• Support strength & conditioning alignment with position-specific needs
• Participate in staff meetings evaluations and professional development

Student-Athlete Development:

• Mentor student-athletes in academics character leadership and life skills
• Support the recruiting and college placement process by providing evaluations film and feedback
• Serve as a positive role model representing IMG Academy values on and off the field

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities:

• Assist with equipment management and practice/game logistics
• Ensure compliance with IMG Academy policies and procedures
• Support events camps combines and other program initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (required)
• 2 years of football coaching experience (high school prep college or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of defensive line play and modern defensive schemes
• Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes staff and administrators
• Willingness to work evenings weekends and travel as required
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College or national-level prep coaching experience
• Background in player evaluation and college recruiting support
• Experience coaching elite or high-performance athletes
• USA Football CPR/AED or equivalent coaching certifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights weekends and holidays
