Leave Specialist 1

Job Summary
The Leave Specialist 1 is responsible for processing and managing leave cases as assigned processing benefit payments and invoices and entering leave related time for team members on leave of absence. This position relies on some instruction and guidance from the Leave Specialist 2 or 3.
Responsibilities
Human Resources and Leaves Administration
- Responds in a timely manner to phone email and in-person inquiries from employees HR representatives and managers.
- Provides timely and accurate required communication and materials to employees at the leaves commencement and throughout the duration of the leave.
- Creates/updates leave of absence records in HRIS system and maintains confidential scanned image files with LOA-specific documents.
- Calculates benefit premiums due and monitors payment and/or benefit deductions as assigned; sends late payment notices as assigned.
- Responsible for entering leave related time each payroll and works cross functionally with payroll to ensure employees are paid correctly.
Relationships/Partnering
- Coordinates with all applicable parties to complete assigned tasks
- Conducts all necessary follow up with management and employees within acceptable time frame with respect to leave status and updates pay and benefits and required forms and return to work.
Qualifications
Experience: None required
Education: Bachelors Degree
