Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical (Orthopedic/Trauma) provides direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. This role requires strong experience in orthopedic and trauma surgical nursing ensuring high-quality care for post-operative and medically complex patients.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients with orthopedic and trauma conditions
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Support post-operative care and recovery
Clinical Expertise
- Manage orthopedic and trauma surgical cases
- Perform wound care pain management and mobility support
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Follow hospital protocols and regulatory standards
- Ensure patient safety and quality care practices
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience in a similar-sized facility
- Strong orthopedic and trauma surgical experience required
