Job Description
The Forecasting and Business Insights Analyst GM Envolve supports the Forecasting & Business Insights and broader GM Envolve team. This position focuses on maintaining accurate fleet data preparing reports and presentations and responding to field and leadership requests that inform commercial government and rental sales decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Ad Hoc Polk Data Requests
Pull validate and deliver ad hoc Polk/S&P Global registrations and market data in response to internal stakeholder and field team requests.
Document request parameters and ensure consistency and repeatability of recurring asks.
Polk Reporting
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and alignment with GM Envolve definitions and business rules.
Distribute reports to key stakeholders on agreed timelines.
FOOS and Track Data Entry
Enter update and reconcile data in FOOS and Track systems to ensure timely and accurate capture of results.
Monitor for discrepancies and work with cross-functional partners to correct or clarify issues.
Finalize All Decks
Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders and finalize review decks for leadership.
Check all numbers charts and tables against source data; ensure consistent formatting branding and message flow.
Prepare versions tailored for different audiences (e.g. executive summaries vs. working-level detail).
SMS Deck Preparation
Build and maintain SMS (leadership) meeting decks summarizing key trends performance vs. objectives and notable risks/opportunities.
Translate complex data into clear visuals and concise action-oriented headlines.
Inventory Management
Track and report on fleet inventory levels including aging pipeline and key variances.
Flag potential risks (e.g. aged units) and support the team in developing mitigation actions.
Partner with planning and sales teams to keep inventory views aligned across systems.
Field Requests
Serve as a first-line contact for field sales and account team requests including data pulls standard reports and simple custom analyses.
Triage and prioritize incoming requests; clearly communicate timing and deliverables.
Maintain a log of requests to identify repeatable needs and opportunities to standardize reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Economics Statistics Data Analytics Finance or a related field.
2 years in automotive industry or related analytical and data reporting experience
Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables lookups basic formulas) and comfort working with large datasets.
Experience with PowerPoint and data visualization (charts tables and clear storytelling in decks).
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot data inconsistencies.
Solid written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate data into clear insights.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Polk/S&P Global registrations data or other automotive/fleet datasets (coursework internship or prior role).
Exposure to BI or visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) is a plus.
Familiarity with GM Envolve fleet or automotive sales processes preferred.
Demonstrated interest in sales forecasting market analysis or business insights.
