The Payment Solutions Analyst plays a vital role in executing and overseeing end-to-end payment operations within a centralized payment team. This role ensures accurate timely and compliant processing of cheque payments EFT & ACH transmissions wire transfers and related financial transactions. The Payment Solutions Analyst also supports reconciliations documentation and reporting activities contributing to the integrity of financial records and the efficiency of payment workflows.What you will be working on
Payment Processing
Execute daily weekly and ad hoc payment runs across multiple companies: cheques EFTs ACH wires
Validate payment files for accuracy completeness and compliance with internal controls
Coordinate with Corporate Treasury AP and banking partners to ensure timely disbursement and resolution of payment issues
Monitor payment queues and resolve exceptions (e.g. rejections duplicates stale-dated cheques)
Recording & Reconciliation
Post payment transactions to the general ledger and sub-ledgers with precision
Reconcile payment batches against source documents bank statements and system outputs
Investigate and resolve discrepancies escalating complex issues as needed
Maintain audit trails and support month-end and year-end close activities
Compliance & Controls
Support documentation of payment procedures controls and exception handling protocols
Contribute in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations
Stakeholder Collaboration
Liaise with AP processors vendors Corporate Treasury Digital Services and Procurement to troubleshoot payment issues
Provide guidance and support to business units on payment related inquiries
Contribute to cross functional initiatives to improve payment accuracy timeliness and transparency
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Recommend process enhancements to reduce errors improve cycle time and strengthen controls
Participate in system upgrades UAT testing and automation initiatives
What We Are Looking For
Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration Finance or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
1 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Payment Operations
Familiarity with cheque EFT ACH and wire payment processes
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation practices
Exposure to centralized payment models and shared services environments
Proactive mindset with a drive for operational excellence and continuous improvement
Exceptional analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Experience in construction or project-based industries considered an asset
