Schedule
- Day Shift: 10-Hour shifts
- On-call required:
- 1 weekend per month
- 12 weekdays per week
- Approx. 89 call days per month
Job Summary
The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Cath Lab supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role requires expertise in catheterization lab procedures patient monitoring and collaboration with the cardiac care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Cath Lab Duties
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and sterile field
- Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to changes
- Ensure proper operation of imaging and diagnostic equipment
Patient Care
- Provide pre- intra- and post-procedural patient care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
Collaboration & Flexibility
- Work closely with cardiologists nurses and support staff
- Float to other units or affiliated facilities as required
- Function effectively as part of a high-performing team
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to safety infection control and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification (required at time of submission)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
