Job Description
As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screener in Boise ID you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic tech location where you will help support entry screening verify credentials monitor access points and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role combines professionalism attention to detail and a people-first approach while helping to deter security-related incidents. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures access protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Screen people bags packages and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-facing procedures documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner helping to support access control de-escalation and other security-related response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around lobbies screening areas production spaces and the perimeter as assigned noting maintenance issues policy violations and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor entry points visitor processing and credential checks helping to deter unauthorized access while maintaining detailed logs incident reports and other required records.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
