Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the organization. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and source suppliers for required materials components and services.
- Obtain and review quotes negotiate pricing and terms and place purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with production schedules and company needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality delivery or service.
- Monitor supplier compliance with contractual agreements and company standards.
Track and report on procurement spending ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. - Prepare regular reports on procurement activities spending and supplier performance.
- Work with engineering production and other departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Provide support in resolving any procurement-related issues or challenges that may arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing preferably within the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings presentations or site visits.
Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
