Prefer candidate with minimum of a Masters Degree or Alternate Pathways with Nationally Certified School Psychologist Credentialitybe aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual studentpossess strong oral and written communication skillsdemonstrate an understanding of child developmentdemonstrate a strong understanding of effective interventions for students with pervasive developmental disordersdemonstrate the ability to work collaborate and communicate with parents students and staff in a school settingdemonstrate the ability to assess student needs and determine appropriate recommendationsbe familiar with developmental patterns of children and youthbe willing to work as a member of a multidisciplinary teamdocument recent professional growth activitiespossess knowledge and understanding of various individual ability achievement tests behavior assessments and working memory assessmentsbe resourceful in working with staff and parents to plan appropriate interventiondemonstrate knowledge of the Ohio Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilitiesbe acceptable to the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed PersonnelDeadline for Application: April 7 2026Effective Starting Date: 2026-2027Additional Information:Please see Job Description attachedJOB DESCRIPTIONQUALIFICATIONS:Hold a School Psychologist LicensureHas appropriate rapport with childrenDemonstrates ability to manage time Demonstrates knowledge of assessment and evaluation instruments and processHas the ability to function in a teamSchool psychologists who are fully funded as a unit in the school foundation program or with Title VI-B funds shall serve nondisabled children only after all disabled or suspected disabled children have received appropriate psychological services of the school psychologist shall include:Providing the intensive psycho-educational evaluation of individual children identified as or thought to be to the written report of the multi-factored evaluation team and delineating the results of the psycho-education evaluation for consideration in the development of the IEP for each disabled child to a multi-factored evaluation utilizing diagnostic instruments and techniques appropriate for the area of disability or suspected disability as part of the multidisciplinary with teachers parents and other educational personnel on matters relating to the education and/or mental health of disabled children to insure the provision of the most appropriate education services of the school psychologist may include:Serving as a consultant to the schools in the development of educational evaluation and accountability procedures pupil and personnel policies in service activities curriculum and staff educational staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies classroom management procedures intervention strategies and follow-up and supervising the activities of the school psychology a differentiated referral system allowing school personnel and parents to request intensive psycho-educational evaluation and evaluation and/or consultation of nondisabled children.
