Job Summary

Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for coordinating the Mexico accounting team to ensureaccuraterecording analysis and interpretation of financial information as well as compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements andtimelyreporting to corporate.

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee theaccurateandtimelyrecording of all company transactions.
Perform monthly trial balance analysis to ensure accuracy andidentifyvariances.
Ensure proper accountingofpayroll depreciation amortization and cost of sales.
Prepare and review financial reports (e.g. income statement by cost center expense analysis).
Coordinate the monthly closing process and ensure delivery of reports to Corporate by the third business day.
Monitor CAPEX project accounting and ensure proper tracking and reporting.
Coordinate fixed asset imports and proper accounting treatment.
Ensure compliance with all tax and legal obligations (provisional payments electronic accounting informative returns foreign investment reporting).
Review andvalidatetax calculations including provisional and annual tax returns.
Coordinate with external advisors whenrequired.
Supervise proper documentation andsafeguarding ofaccounting tax and administrative records.
Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
Ensuretimelyresolution of audit observations and implementation of recommendations.
Collaborate with HR on payroll-related processes (IMSS INEGI ISN audits).
Provide support to other departmentsregardingaccounting and financial matters.
Identifyprocess improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies in accounting and reporting processes.

Requirements

Education:Bachelors degree in Accounting

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role

Master Degree:Isconsidereda Plus

Technical Skills:

Language: Advanced English (written and spoken)

Strong knowledge of accounting processes and financial reporting

Experience with ERP systems

Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations (SAT IMSS ISN etc.)

Advanced Excel.
