About the Role

As Teacher of Art & Design you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and the schools curriculum offer.

You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:

  • Strong drawing and observational skills alongside creative experimentation

  • Knowledge of artists movements and contextual understanding

  • Confidence with a range of media (e.g. painting printmaking sculpture mixed media digital where applicable)

  • Independent thinking through purposeful sketchbook work annotation and evaluation

  • GCSE success through clear modelling structured practice and targeted feedback

Lessons are designed to build skill over time while encouraging pupils to take creative risks and develop personal responses.
