Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils in developing practical and theoretical scientific knowledge
Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations
Monitoring progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Supporting practical experiments and ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Supporting enrichment opportunities such as science clubs and STEM activities
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
