About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting pupils to develop analytical skills curiosity and confidence in science while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing practical and theoretical scientific knowledge

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations

• Monitoring progress and providing clear constructive feedback

• Supporting practical experiments and ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed

• Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Supporting enrichment opportunities such as science clubs and STEM activities

• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

• Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative department

• Be committed to continuous professional development
