Engineering and infrastructure are central to how we operate and we invest in doing things properly rather than working around legacy constraints.

Were currently rebuilding our DevOps capability for our B2B platform creating an opportunity to define tooling practices and standards from the ground up in close collaboration with engineering and technology leadership.

The Role

We are hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to design build and own the DevOps function for our B2B platform. This is a greenfield role with full responsibility for shaping how DevOps operates across the business.

Reporting directly to the CTO you will be a hands-on technical leader working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable reliable and automated infrastructure. The role combines deep technical ownership with leadership offering the chance to influence architecture tooling and ways of working.

What Youll Do

• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines across all services and environments

• Lead containerisation and Kubernetes strategy and operations

• Define and maintain observability tooling including metrics logs traces and alerting

• Drive build and deployment automation for Java services frontend applications (ReactJS PixiJS) and backend systems

• Design operate and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS with exposure to Azure and GCP

• Own networking VPNs and secure connectivity across environments

• Lead cost optimisation initiatives and implement FinOps best practices

• Ensure production reliability performance and scalability for 24/7 platforms

• Define and monitor SLAs SLOs and error budgets

• Lead on-call processes incident response and post-incident reviews

• Mentor DevOps engineers and define technical and operational best practices

What Youll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps and infrastructure engineering within production environments

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes containerised workloads and cloud-native architectures

• Solid experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform

• Proven ability to design and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines

• Experience supporting always-on business-critical systems

• A pragmatic problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and reliability

• Confidence working closely with engineers and senior technical stakeholders

• Experience mentoring or leading engineers formally or informally

• Motivation to build DevOps capabilities from scratch and improve them over time

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience working in iGaming fintech e-commerce SaaS or other online platform-based businesses is beneficial. Experience building DevOps environments from scratch scaling teams or working in regulated environments is also a plus.
