Job Summary
We are a stealth-stage startup operating in the mobility sector.
We have our first customers early traction and are currently raising our pre-seed round.
The company is led by a repeat founder. We are looking for a technical co-founder to own everything engineering from AI and data architecture to the product itself.
Tasks
- Design and own the end-to-end data architecture: ingestion storage transformation and serving layers
- Build AI-powered systems including matching algorithms dynamic pricing demand forecasting and route optimisation
- Lead full-stack development of the platform maintaining solid engineering standards across the codebase
- Drive the ML/AI roadmap from early experimentation through to production at scale
- Architect backend systems for reliability and scalability as transaction volume grows
- Oversee API design and third-party integrations (logistics telematics payments)
- Hire and build an engineering team as the company grows
- Partner with the CEO on fundraising due diligence and investor conversations
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 3 years in an engineering leadership or senior tech lead role ideally at a fast-moving startup or scale-up
- Strong background in data architecture and engineering: pipelines warehousing real-time streaming
- Hands-on experience with ML/AI systems in production not just prototypes
- Solid full-stack fundamentals comfortable going deep on backend and across the stack when needed
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Based in Germany
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with logistics marketplace or two-sided platform products
- Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Additional European languages (German especially welcome)
