Job Summary
At New Story Schools we serve students ages 521 with autism and emotional behavioral and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning therapeutic integration and collaboration we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. Join our team and help students write their new story.
As the School Social Worker at New Story Schools you will provide direct and consultative services that support students academic social-emotional and behavioral growth. Your work strengthens student well-being supports IEP goals and builds connections between families schools and community resources.
What Youll Need
Bachelors degree in social work or related field with enrollment in an MSW program or completed MSW
Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
At least two years of experience in a school setting including internships
Knowledge of special education regulations MTSS and child welfare systems
Strong clinical documentation communication and case management skills
What Youll Do
Provide individual group and classroom-based social emotional learning supports
Assess student needs and implement evidence-based counseling interventions
Collaborate with families school teams and outside providers to support student success
Contribute to IEP development progress monitoring and multidisciplinary meetings
Connect students and families to community resources and mental health supports
