Job Summary
- Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte NC; 337 licensed beds; Chest Pain and Stroke Center; not trauma designated
- Department: Radiation Oncology treating 70 patients/day using 2 Varian Truebeam machines
- Experience Required: 3-4 years as a Radiation Therapist (first-time travelers accepted)
- Patient Population: All types of cancer; both heavy inpatient and outpatient caseloads
- Common Diagnoses: Various cancers
- Key Duties:
- Operate Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
- Deliver daily radiation treatments
- Work primarily with inpatient and outpatient populations
- Rarely required to work in CT simulation
- Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy certification)
- Skills Required:
- Proficient with Varian Truebeam equipment
- Comfortable with inpatient care
- Familiarity with Aria EMR preferred
- Department Support:
- On-site manager
- 6-7 RTs per shift (3 per machine)
- Technology/Equipment:
- Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
- EPIC/Aria EMR
- Floating:
- May require floating to sister facilities (up to 1 hour travel)
- Orientation:
- 1 week (facility and unit)
- Additional Information:
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking
- Fast-paced teamwork-oriented culture with strong provider and physicist support
- Traveler must live at least 50 miles from the facility
