We are seeking a highly skilled Virtualization Engineer for a short-term project in Lansing MI. This role is ideal for a hands-on virtualization professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V and proven experience migrating environments from VMware to Hyper-V. The consultant will play a key role in assessing the current infrastructure executing the migration and ensuring a smooth and stable transition.

Pay Rate: $60 $70/hour
What You ll Be Working On:
- Lead the migration of virtual machines from VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V
- Analyze the existing virtual environment and plan the conversion approach
- Configure and optimize Hyper-V infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues
- Perform validation and testing to ensure post-migration performance and stability
- Document migration steps findings and recommendations
What We re Looking For:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Hyper-V
- Proven experience with VMware to Hyper-V conversion/migration projects
- Solid understanding of virtualization Windows Server storage and networking
- Ability to work independently and deliver results within a short project timeline
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Background:
- Prior experience handling short-term infrastructure or migration projects
- Experience with virtual machine performance tuning and post-migration validation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with client teams
