Position: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II
Location: Lebanon TN 37090

Summary
- The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing electrical mechanical and controls support to maintain troubleshoot and improve automated production equipment.
- This role functions as a journeyman-level technician ensuring equipment reliability minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production equipment complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions related to electrical safety guarding interlocks and emergency systems.
- Complete safety reviews for new equipment and process changes.
- Follow site safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) hot work and confined space protocols.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts for production equipment.
- Perform and adjust preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
- Train and mentor production staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Support updates to equipment SOPs for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce costs improve quality and enhance equipment performance.
- Participate in Lean and PPI (Practical Process Improvement) initiatives.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent (advanced technical education preferred).
- 3 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automated equipment electronics sensors motors servos and pneumatics.
- Experience working with automated production equipment in manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical skills including disassembly repair and reassembly of complex equipment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of mechanical pneumatic electrical lubrication systems and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of construction repair and maintenance practices in commercial/industrial environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC applications (Outlook Word Excel) and familiarity with CMMS and inventory systems.
- Technical certification in electrical mechanical or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (pharma biotech etc.).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience working across multiple environments including cleanrooms labs and production areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Work across multiple environments including office laboratory production warehouse rooftops and mechanical spaces.
- Exposure to hazardous chemical production environments.
- May require standing walking bending and working in confined or elevated spaces.
