Role: LIMS Support Engineer
Work location: Morris Plains NJ (Hybrid)
Type: Contract
POSITION OVERVIEW :
In this Support Engineer role provide application support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LabVantage or LabWare). Ensure stable operations across QC R&D and manufacturing labs by addressing incidents resolving defects managing changes supporting integrations and coordinating with business and IT stakeholders in regulated (GxP) environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 incident resolution for LIMS applications (LabVantage or LabWare).
- Diagnose and resolve configuration issues workflow errors sample lifecycle problems and data inconsistencies.
- Conduct detailed root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Maintain LIMS master data workflows templates and stability modules.
- Support version upgrades patches and environment maintenance.
- Assist laboratory users with operational questions access issues and data troubleshooting.
- Support integrations between LIMS and instruments SAP/ERP middleware and APIs.
- Troubleshoot interface failures (REST/SOAP APIs ETL jobs instrument connectors).
- Support CSV documentation change control IQ/OQ/PQ impact checks and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with GxP 21 CFR Part 11 and ALCOA.
- Coordinate with QA Lab Operations Infrastructure and DevOps teams.
- Provide user training and create SOPs release notes and support documentation.
Required Skills
- 8 years of LIMS support or development experience.
- 8 years of hands-on skills in LabVantage (Java/Groovy) or LabWare (LADL LIMS Basic).
- 8 years of strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of QC/R&D workflows and regulated environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
