We are seeking a Strategic OCI Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in New York City. This onsite role focuses on architecting secure landing zones managing multi-region networking and driving infrastructure modernization. You will be responsible for OCI tenancy governance automating deployments via Terraform and ensuring high availability across compute storage and Autonomous Database environments using the OCI Well-Architected Framework.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Design: Own the end-to-end OCI architecture including tenancy structures compartment hierarchies and IAM policy design.
Network Engineering: Architect VCNs Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRG) FastConnect and Site-to-Site VPNs for secure hybrid-cloud connectivity.
Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain production-ready Terraform scripts and CI/CD pipelines to automate environment provisioning.
Modernization: Lead migration strategies (Lift & Shift Re-platform Refactor) for legacy workloads into OCI specifically leveraging OKE (Kubernetes) and Autonomous Database.
Governance & Security: Conduct Well-Architected reviews and security assessments to ensure 100% compliance with identity and data sovereignty standards.
Cost & Performance: Execute cost-optimization analyses to reduce spend and engineer multi-region DR strategies to meet RTO/RPO targets.
Team Leadership: Provide technical direction to offshore delivery teams and present architectural roadmaps to executive stakeholders.

Required Skills

Experience: 5 years of Cloud Architecture experience with at least 3 years of hands-on OCI implementation.
Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in OCI Core Services: Compute Block/Object Storage VCN Load Balancing and IAM.
Automation: Advanced proficiency in Terraform and OCI Resource Manager.
Containers: Practical experience deploying and managing OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
Database: Strong knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database Exadata Cloud Service and DBCS.
Security: Proficiency with OCI Vault/KMS Security Zones Cloud Guard and WAF.
Availability: Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in New York City.

Preferred

Certification: OCI Solutions Architect Professional certification.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Bash for cloud automation.
Compliance: Experience with CIS OCI Foundations Benchmark and SOC2/HIPAA cloud compliance.
Scale: Previous experience managing OCI environments for large-scale financial or enterprise institutions.
