Experience Required: Minimum 2-3 years in US Mortgage Foreclosure processes.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Foreclosure Associate to join our Default Servicing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the foreclosure process for residential mortgage loans in default ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements investor guidelines and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze loan files to determine foreclosure eligibility.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. loan servicing title and legal) to initiate and progress foreclosure actions.
• Prepare and submit foreclosure referrals to external attorneys/trustees.
• Monitor and track foreclosure timelines milestones and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations
• Communicate with attorneys and other stakeholders regarding foreclosure proceedings.
• Review and verify foreclosure documents (e.g. notices affidavits and deeds).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in foreclosure software systems.
• Identify and escalate potential issues or exceptions to management.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve foreclosure goals and objectives.
Required skills and Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in mortgage default servicing foreclosure or related field.
• Strong knowledge of US mortgage regulations (e.g. FHA VA USDA and conventional).
• Familiarity with foreclosure laws and procedures in multiple states.
• Excellent organizational communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience with foreclosure software systems.
Preferred Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint) to manage records generate reports and communicate effectively.
