APAC Logistics Manager
Job Summary
Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
EHS and Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Huntsman Corporate EHS standard business ethics and international trade compliance.
- Ensure the procedures to meet compliance requirement conduct Distribution Safety Assessment and execution in all Plants and logistic activities.
Performance Management and Team Management
- Develop short-and-long term regional goals and action plan aligning business strategy and supply chain strategy; lead team to track and monitor the overall performance trend;
- Breakdown regional targets into individual targets; manage and ensure individual performance aligning with regional goal; monitor individual performance provide feedback and support on team members personal development.
- Build high performance team; manage the resources and define proper structure; Motivate and lift up teams capability to meet growing business requirement;
Key Business Responsibility
- Manage APAC logistics operation including order processing import & export warehousing & transportation planning customs affairs & FTA management etc. with 5 major regional warehouses.
- Ensure designed operation flow to meet legal and local regulation follow cooperate standards e.g. trade compliance safety standard product EHS request etc.
- Design regional warehouse footprint and regional distribution strategy to ensure it aligns with business and supply chain strategy.
- Owner of regional logistics cost and saving target. Develop collaborative approaches to correct inefficient behaviors to optimize operation flow and drive cost reduction.
- Drive operation simplification standardize operation process document automation track and trace risk assessment by digitalization and utilize the resource of global projects. Continually identify areas for operation efficiency improvement
- Collaborate with cooperate purchasing on vendor performance management logistics contract renewal and service provider audit etc.
- Be responsible for service complaints to ensure resolution put in place timely and to convey biz requirement urgent support escalation & etc.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor degree or above;
Experiences
- Minimum 10 years logistic experience and 5 years in supervisory role
- Rich experience in forwarder and 3rd contract logistics is preferred.
- Automation & Digitalization experience in logistic operation is preferred
Know-how/Skills
- Knowledge of customs affairs forwarder operation and W&T
- Knowledge of end-to-end logistics flow design
- Good communication and influence skills
- Working language in English both spoken and written
- Basic understanding on finance
