POSITION SUMMARY
Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is seeking a Project Engineer II/IIIto support theCatlettsburg positionleadsthe development execution and oversight of capital and expense projects while ensuring compliance with safety engineering standards and refinery Management of Change processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Appliesproject management skills across all phases: development justification design construction and startup.
Manages multiple projects/programs safely efficiently and within budget; develops strategies to meet schedules and mitigate delays.
Ensures compliance with Management of Change (MOC) Process Safety Information (PSI) and mechanical integrity documentation. Coordinates with external engineeringconsultants and designers to complete projects andstudiescost-effectively.

Develops scope cost estimates and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares Decision Support Packages (DSPs) andpresents toleadership.
Collaborateswith stakeholders including Maintenance Construction and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution. Coordinates with external consultants andinternal teams to support execution.
Participates in HAZOP reviews and incident investigations; applies safety and environmental standards to designs.
Applies engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety environmental andpermittingstandards.
Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices or conditions areobserved.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Engineeringrequired.
Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
Two (2) years or more of industry experiencerequired.
Project or construction experience preferred.
A valid drivers license required.
