POSITION SUMMARY

Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is seeking a Project Engineer II/IIIto support theCatlettsburg positionleadsthe development execution and oversight of capital and expense projects while ensuring compliance with safety engineering standards and refinery Management of Change processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Appliesproject management skills across all phases: development justification design construction and startup.

  • Manages multiple projects/programs safely efficiently and within budget; develops strategies to meet schedules and mitigate delays.

  • Ensures compliance with Management of Change (MOC) Process Safety Information (PSI) and mechanical integrity documentation. Coordinates with external engineeringconsultants and designers to complete projects andstudiescost-effectively.

  • Develops scope cost estimates and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares Decision Support Packages (DSPs) andpresents toleadership.

  • Collaborateswith stakeholders including Maintenance Construction and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution. Coordinates with external consultants andinternal teams to support execution.

  • Participates in HAZOP reviews and incident investigations; applies safety and environmental standards to designs.

  • Applies engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety environmental andpermittingstandards.

  • Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices or conditions areobserved.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineeringrequired.

  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred.

  • Two (2) years or more of industry experiencerequired.

  • Project or construction experience preferred.

  • A valid drivers license required.
