Defence & Security

Bureau Veritas Defence and Security business is designed to offer flexibility in service delivery enabling operations from our offices client locations or remote settings as required. We bring together the best industry and project management professionals in a team structure tailored to Defence and suited to delivering multiple projects across the country.

The Opportunity

Join ourDefence and Securityteam as anAssistant Project Managerto support the construction delivery of a key project with our Canberra team. Working under the guidance of an experienced Senior Project team you will act as a key link between the Commonwealth and industry partners to ensure project transparency and governance. Your focus will be on monitoring on-site progress managing risks and reviewing performance to keep the project on track. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to grow their skills in a supported environment while delivering critical infrastructure for the Commonwealth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Managing Contractor invoices and PMCA invoices
  • Help prepare PCG packs monthly review sheets and other reporting documents
  • supporting project governance reporting and compliance to ensure obligations are met.
  • Administration of project meetings across all levels
  • Support all project finance activities - budgeting forecasting tracking spends and updating registers
  • Assist with contract administration including variations correspondence and document control
  • Keep project records organised and up to date
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to gather information for reports and approvals
  • Help monitor risks schedules and deliverables across the project
  • Provide general support to the PMCA lead across daytoday project tasks.
  • Provide critical support in the completion and HOTO of the project to meet Defence and legislative requirements.

About You

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Engineering Construction Management) or relevant commensurate experience.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such asPMBOK PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • A currentBaseline or NV1 Security Clearance(or ability to maintain one).
