Pharmacist Specialist - Inpatient - Overnight

Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented passionate and energetic individual to join us as an Inpatient Central Pharmacist Specialist. This role seeks someone with a passion and understanding of central pharmacy operations and will work with a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide clinical and dispensing services to our patients physicians and nurses during the overnight hours. This is a great position for those who want to utilize their clinical skills and expertise in pharmacy operations. You will be well supported by five other pharmacists and a dedicated team of technicians. New grads are welcome to apply. This specific position will work from the main Nebraska Medicine medical campus in Omaha NE.

Shift:

  • Full Time and benefits eligible (0.9 FTE / 36 hours per week)
  • Third shift overnight working 7 on/ 7off

Provide the highest quality patient care. Supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care area and ensure all medication related patient and care provider needs are met. Work proactively as a member of a team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care. Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.

Required Qualifications: Pharmacist Specialist - Inpatient

Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program as deemed appropriate for patient facing roles and relevant to practice.

Preferred Qualifications: Pharmacist Specialist - Inpatient

American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
