POSITION SUMMARY:
Marathon Petroleum Corporation LP has openings for Lab Technicians at its flagship refinery in Garyville LA. This refinery has received top awards from OSHA and the EPA for environmental and safety excellence and offers competitive wages and benefits. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will analyze crude oil and other feedstocks process intermediates and finished products which assist Operations and Products Control in optimizing unit operation and product blending enter data in the Lab Information Management System interface with Statistical Quality Control systems. Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A 4-year science degree withfour college chemistry courses and two college chemistry labs is required.
- Good communication skills a commitment to working safely and the ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-direction.
- A valid Drivers License is required.
