Job Summary
Position Purpose:
Provide operational and maintenance support throughout complex.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must be proficient and able to instruct in all areas listed below.
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall painting and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in the general maintenance of commercial buildings.
- Some experience with plumbing electrical and HVAC would be an advantage.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to read write and speak English fluently.
- Must have high mechanical aptitude level.
- Ability to work rotating shifts involving weekends holidays backshifts and overtime is required.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Must hold a valid driver license with a satisfactory driving record to maintain minimum company required insurance coverage
Physical Requirements:
- The job can be physically demanding involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs.
- Candidates should be able to lift a 50-lb load.
- Must be able to walk a minimum of three miles per day.
- Must have ability to work from elevated surfaces; (ladders platforms lifts).
