Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar
At Sims Corner we believe that perfectly aged steaks big wines and genuine hospitality make an incredible guest experience. Our culinary team has been a major pillar in what makes us Atlantic Canadas premier steakhouse. We focus on fresh Island raised products using one hundred percent Island beef along with fresh locally sourced produce.
As a Prep Cook You Will
- Complete daily preparation of food
- Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain the kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Organize work areas as well as storage areas
- Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation
- Communicate with kitchen staff cooks Sous Chef and the Head Chef
- Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Follow all operations policies and procedures
- Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

- Positive and outgoing personality
- Flexibility - Our back-of-house staff will work a variety of shifts including days evenings and weekends
- Love for building strong relations with team members
- Must possess a desire for personal and professional development
- Ability to multitask and maintain high energy in a fast-paced environment
- A desire to have fun at work when you have fun our guests do too
What You Bring
- A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset
- High volume prep cooking experience is considered an asset
- Good eye for detail and accuracy
- Food safety knowledge is required
