Storage Services Analyst is a member of the Storage Service team with a variety of responsibilities supporting Storage as a Service (StaaS) and Data Protection as a Service (DpaaS).
Responsibilities
- Jira planning and tracking of Epics User Stories and Tasks.
- Asset management activities including leasing and service contracts.
- Assist with current and future planning activities to support the global expansion and adaptation of Storage as a Service.
- Assist with:
- Installing new hardware and removing end-of-life equipment.
- Planning and installing fiber connections to new devices when needed.
- Completing connections originating from server team requests.
- Ongoing troubleshooting of the server-connected environment.
- Financial and capacity planning and reporting.
Experience Required
- Associate experience with 2 years in IT.
- Experience with Jira business tool.
- Solid understanding of MS Office specifically Excel.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present it to management.
- Understanding and desire to learn financial processes and methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating integrity in all actions.
Experience Preferred
- Business process support.
- Knowledge of procurement purchasing and project management.
- Familiarity with data center layouts and procedures for building access.
- Knowledge of storage fiber infrastructure including fiber optic connections planning and working with Cisco MDS switches.
- Familiarization with vendor connection needs and proficiency in connecting power.
- Coordination of:
- Installation of new storage devices.
- Decommission and uninstall of end-of-lease storage arrays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if needed.
Education Required
- Bachelors Degree
