Position Overview
Seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead develop and grow a sales team at a dynamic independent insurance agency. This role is responsible for overseeing sales operations driving revenue growth building client relationships and ensuring the team delivers exceptional service across a range of insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coach and motivate a team of insurance producers to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive new business and client retention
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
- Recruit onboard and train new sales team members
- Foster strong relationships with clients carriers and business partners
- Identify market opportunities and expand the agencys footprint within target segments
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and agency standards
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives
- Handle complex client accounts and support team members in closing high-value deals
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field (preferred)
- 37 years of insurance sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Active insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health as applicable)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
