The Role

The school is seeking a passionate creative and committed Drama Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Drama is a popular subject within the school with strong uptake and excellent outcomes.

You will teach a broad and engaging curriculum from core performance and theatre skills at KS3 to GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre. You will contribute to a collaborative department that values high-quality teaching practical performance and student voice.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related subject

• Experience teaching Drama at GCSE level (A-Level desirable)

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for performance and theatre

• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities

• High expectations for behaviour and academic achievement

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Commitment to contributing to extracurricular activities such as school productions and clubs
