About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering lessons that develop numeracy reasoning and problem-solving skills. There may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils confidence and competence in mathematics.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress providing constructive feedback
Supporting targeted interventions for pupils who require additional help
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Encouraging enthusiasm for mathematics through enrichment activities
Creating an inclusive well-managed and stimulating classroom environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be able to motivate pupils and encourage a positive attitude to maths
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
Be committed to ongoing professional development
