About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage pupils to develop problem-solving skills analytical thinking and scientific understanding.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils understanding of key Physics concepts
Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback
Maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment
Supporting practical investigations and scientific enquiry
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
Participating in extracurricular activities such as science clubs or STEM projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Physics
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
Have the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
Be committed to continuous professional development
