About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage pupils to develop problem-solving skills analytical thinking and scientific understanding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Supporting pupils understanding of key Physics concepts

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback

  • Maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment

  • Supporting practical investigations and scientific enquiry

  • Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives

  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as science clubs or STEM projects

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Physics

  • Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate pupils

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative department

  • Be committed to continuous professional development
