About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Supporting pupils understanding of key concepts and practical skills

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and practical assessments

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to support improvement

  • Maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment

  • Supporting practical investigations and experiments

  • Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives

  • Participating in extracurricular science activities

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have excellent subject knowledge in Physics

  • Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of varying abilities

  • Work collaboratively within the department and school

  • Be committed to ongoing professional development
