We are seeking a Country Manager for Romania to lead local market expansion operations and commercial growth. This is a senior hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility for market strategy P&L delivery local partnerships and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will be an independent operator fluent in local business practices with experience scaling digital or product businesses in Romania.
5 years of experience in country or regional management business development sales leadership or operations in digital SaaS adtech lead generation or related fields;
proven track record of launching and scaling products or business lines within a market;
strong commercial skills: budgeting P&L ownership pricing and revenue forecasting;
experience building and managing local teams (recruiting coaching performance management);
excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
familiarity with CRM and analytics tools and comfort working with performance data;
fluent Romanian and professional English (written and spoken);
ability to work autonomously and adapt in a fast-paced international environment.
experience in performance marketing affiliate networks lead generation or home improvement verticals;
existing network of local partners publishers agencies and contractors;
experience with regulatory or compliance topics relevant to digital marketing in Romania;
prior exposure to transitioning from outsourcing to product-led models;
knowledge of paid media platforms (Meta Google TikTok) and programmatic advertising.
define and execute the Romania market strategy to achieve growth and profitability targets;
own local P&L budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts;
build hire and lead a high-performing local team across sales operations and partnerships;
develop and manage strategic partnerships with publishers agencies contractors and key clients;
drive outbound and inbound commercial activities: prospecting demos negotiations and contracting;
implement and maintain CRM processes and pipeline hygiene;
coordinate with product marketing and analytics teams to localise offerings and optimise performance;
monitor market trends competitive landscape and regulatory changes to inform strategy;
report on commercial KPIs and deliverables to the regional leadership team.
