The Senior Associate in our internal Risk Management & Independence team plays a key role in strengthening the firms risk and quality frameworks.

Youll support the delivery of regulatory compliance and internal policy requirements while embedding best-practice risk processes across the firm. The role also leverages emerging AI technologies to enhance efficiency drive continuous improvement and support innovation in risk management activities. Drawing on your professional services experience you will help safeguard the firms reputation and reinforce the trust we uphold with our clients.

This is a 9-month FTC where youll work closely with local and global teams applying process management strong attention to detail and communication skills to ensure adherence to laws regulations PwC network requirements and professional standards.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Technology Risk Reviews: Support the delivery of technology risk reviews helping ensure compliance with the firms risk and quality procedures as well as local and global policies.

    • Coordinate reviews from initiation through to sign off managing the end to end process and ensuring each review is completed efficiently and in line with the relevant risk level.

    • Work closely with internal clients and where required third party vendors to obtain the right information at the right time enabling subject matter experts to complete their assessments.

    • Triage enquiries and review requests identify and manage bottlenecks and help resolve issues or roadblocks to keep reviews moving forward.

  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist in developing reviewing and implementing risk management policies staying up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practice to ensure policies remain effective.

  • Advisory and Support: Act as a trusted advisor to partners and staff on risk matters particularly technology AI and Information Protection.

  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior management and promote a strong culture of risk awareness and compliance through effective stakeholder communication.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and senior Risk Independence and Ethics members to ensure alignment with PwC network requirements and collaborate with global firms to share best practice.

  • AI and Technology Integration: Leverage AI to enhance technology risk reviews risk management team processes challenge and improve current ways of working and support technology transformation initiatives.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in risk management compliance or a related field within a professional services environment.

  • Knowledge of data protection privacy impact assessments and general information protection processes is advantageous but not essential.

  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in risk management.

  • Strong understanding of conflict of interest and independence regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactively builds shared understanding with colleagues by clarifying scope expectations and delivery requirements from the outset.

  • Ability to constructively challenge and improve existing processes.

  • Strong leadership and advisory skills to guide teams in adopting AI solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
