The role Te tūnga

As a Senior Regulatory Accountant youll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of Aotearoas gambling system. Working alongside Senior Regulators Regulatory Accountants and Gambling Forensic Accountants youll carry out complex financial analysis to inform licensing decisions for Class 3 and 4 gambling operators.

Youll provide specialist advice peer review technical work support compliance initiatives and engage directly with regulated parties sector accountants and legal representatives. This role requires strong judgement analytical capability and the ability to translate financial findings into clear actionable recommendations.

What you bring Nōu te rourou

  • Strong experience in accounting or financial analysis ideally within a regulatory or compliance environment. You must also be a member or have the ability to obtain a CAANZ membership.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and audit practice and reporting requirements across various entity types
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical information to achieve sound regulatory outcomes
  • Proven ability to build professional effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex financial information clearly including to laypeople
  • High personal integrity sound judgement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
