Job Summary
Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Contract) 2026/2027 School Year
Location: Colorado Springs CO
Contract Duration: 43 Weeks (Start Date: August 4 2026)
Shift: Day (5x7.5-hour shifts 07:00 AM 02:30 PM)
Overview
Seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for theschool year. These positions support students from Pre-K through 12th grade across a variety of educational settings. Candidates will play a key role in delivering specialized instruction and managing individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Serve as case manager for assigned students
- Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License OR in the process of obtaining licensure
- Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
- Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines
Compensation & Details
- Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week or 12 hours/day
- Orientation: All hours billable
- No on-call holiday or callback requirements
