Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Analyst with deep expertise in theCalypso Derivatives Trading Platformand a strong understanding offront-to-back office workflowsin capital markets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing complex derivatives products Calypso configurations and integrations ensuring robust and compliant trade lifecycle coverage.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Finance or a related field.
- Around 6 yearsof software QA experience in an agile development environment within a regulated financial services (preferably banking) organization.
- Minimum of3 yearsof hands-on Calypso test planning and execution experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
General:
- Experience withAgile methodologiesand participation in sprint ceremonies.
- Proficiency inSQLand understanding ofETL processesfor data validation.
- Hands-on experience withtesting and defect management toolssuch as qTest JIRA and Confluence.
- Skilled inMicrosoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp business concepts and establish credibility with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of performing initial issue analysis and proposing resolutions.
Calypso-Specific Expertise:
- Strong working knowledge of capital markets and derivatives acrossFront Office Middle Office and Back Officeoperations.
- Extensive QA experience with Calypso includingupgrade projectsandmigrations from legacy platforms.
- Experience withautomated testing including use ofCalypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT)or equivalent.
- Deep understanding ofInterest Rate FX and Commodity derivatives including their full lifecycle workflows.
- Validation experience inFront Office and Middle Officefunctionalities such asP&L reportsrisk reports andpricing models.
- Proficient in Calypso modules includingPricing Accounting Workflows Messaging (Confirmation/Settlement Advice/Trade Statement) Reporting Framework Task Station andScheduled Tasks.
- Experience withCalypso versions 16.1 and above.
- Familiarity withCalypso DTCC Reporting Module(CFTC ESMA FCA Canadian).
- Strong understanding ofCalypso configurationsandinterface integrationswith external systems.
- Ability to performend-to-end testingincluding trade creation transfers messaging accounting and interface validations (ACH FedWire GL reporting).
- Experience withXVA moduleis a plus.
- Experience withtrade booking systemssuch as Bloomberg and MarkitWire.
- Experience inmarket data generationincluding curves and volatility surfaces across asset classes.
Support & Maintenance
- Monitoring and maintaining non-prod environments.
- Ensuring scheduled jobs run without errors.
- Supporting Calypso build deployments.
- Able to perform initial analysis of issues/bugs and propose resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- QA certifications.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance standards.
- Experience with other trading platforms (e.g. Wallstreet Murex Summit) is a plus.
