Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative and meticulous Design Engineer to undertake mechanical engineering activities collaborate with our expert teams and ensure safe robust and value-engineered mechanical designs for our world-leading Ejector systems and process packages.
Responsibilities
- Undertake mechanical engineering activities as required for studies projects and consultancy.
- Collaborate as part of the mechanical engineering team.
- Ensure safe and robust value-engineered mechanical designs for all products and process packages.
- Perform 3D modelling for Transvac Ejectors Silencers and associated equipment.
- Design full system packages including Ejectors vessels structural skid base frames pipework runs and pneumatic/electrical hookups.
- Generate comprehensive design drawings (General Arrangement Assembly detailed manufacture drawings Sub-assembly isometrics etc.).
- Generate bills of material for procurement and hydrostatic testing.
- Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.
- Support the Mechanical Department team and check CAD design engineers and contractors drawings.
- Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team.
- Participate in personal development training including Transvac internal operating systems health and safety and quality assurance.
Basic Qualifications
- Accredited mechanical engineering degree (MEng/MSc preferred or BEng/BSc with excellent engineering principles).
- Attention to detail a curious mind and creative thinking.
- Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Resourceful problem solver with an innovative mind.
- Focused on deadlines and targets with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
- Right to Work in the UK
