Job Summary

3 Month Contract With A Local Authority


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to specialise in Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). The successful candidate will manage a high-volume caseload delivering effective early intervention and taking appropriate enforcement action. This role requires a strong understanding of both non-court and court remedies with a proactive approach to resolving tenancy-related issues and supporting safe sustainable communities.




Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high caseload of ASB cases from initial report through to resolution
  • Deliver early intervention strategies to prevent escalation of anti-social behaviour
  • Investigate complaints thoroughly gathering evidence and maintaining accurate case records
  • Work closely with residents internal teams and external partners (e.g. police local authorities)
  • Apply a range of enforcement tools including warnings acceptable behaviour agreements and injunctions
  • Prepare and present cases for legal action including court attendance where required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation policies and procedures
  • Provide support and guidance to victims and witnesses of ASB
  • Monitor case progress and ensure timely resolution in line with service standards
  • Contribute to community safety initiatives and tenancy sustainment strategies


Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Housing Officer or ASB-focused role
  • Strong knowledge of anti-social behaviour legislation and housing law
  • Experience managing complex and high-volume caseloads
  • Ability to use both early intervention and enforcement approaches effectively
  • Experience with legal processes including preparing court documentation and attending hearings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Good IT skills and experience using housing management systems
  • Relevant Housing qualification


Additional Information
  • 37 Hours Per Week
  • Bi-Weekly Payments
