Position Overview
TheIndustrial Painteris responsible for preparing and coating metal parts to meet production and quality standards. ThisIndustrial Painterrole involves surface preparation primer application and maintaining paint equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience withindustrial or automotive painting
Ability to usespray guns and wet paint systems
Knowledge ofsurface preparation (sanding grinding masking filling)
Ability toread and follow work instructions and simple drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to safely handlechemicals and painting materials
Experience usinghand and power tools
Ability to differentiate between colors
Strong teamwork and communication skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
TheIndustrial Painterrole includes:
Prepare parts bysanding grinding masking filling and buffing surfaces
Mix and applyprimer coatingsaccording to specifications
Set up and operatepainting equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect parts to ensurequality standards and work order requirements are met
Identify and correctsurface defects and blemishes
Troubleshootpaint-related issuesand provide feedback
Maintain and cleanpaint booths and equipment
Follow allPPE safety procedures and hazardous material guidelines
SupportLean quality and safety initiatives
Maintain aclean organized and safe work environment
Preferred Experience
Experience inindustrial or automotive paint environments
Experience withwet spray paint systems for steel components
Familiarity withpaint thickness (millage) and coating specifications
Physical Requirements
Ability tolift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequentstanding bending stooping and squatting
Ability to work in amanufacturing/paint shop environment
Ability to work withchemicals and protective equipment
