Essential Job Functions
Pursuit Management
- Leads all day-to-day aspects of an individual bid and is accountable for the end-to-end quality of the deal
- Works at the strategic level to provide direction and maintain perspective across the entire bid/capture process
- Accountable for bid planning applying best practices managing critical path and resource needs B&P budget and deal orchestration
- Understands and leads the opportunity using the PSM as a guide ensuring end-to-end compliance with company processes and corporate policies
- Conducts pursuit efforts including pursuit planning presentations concepts customer responses internal coordination and periodic reviews
- Establishes and achieves deal timelines approvals governance and cadence
- Provides assistance with and background information on the proposal to assist with closing the deal
Bid Team Management
- Acts as a leader and plays the role of challenger as part of the core pursuit team
- Seen as a coach and mentor to pursuit team members
- Engages guides and coordinates bid team resources and interdependencies between multiple and multi-disciplinary teams to develop a high-quality solution and proposal that meets client objectives and showcases DXCs capabilities
Client Engagement (where appropriate)
- Establishes working relationships with clients participate in client meetings workshops and presentations
- Participates in commercial meetings with the client their advisors and partners (sub-contractors)
Deal Qualification and Strategy Development (where appropriate)
- Works with the pursuit and sales team to facilitate deal shaping activities
- Attends/is involved in sales strategy meetings before qualification reviews for category A and B deals and Cat C deals where appropriate assists with development of the value proposition and win strategy (win themes) early in the bid pursuit cycle
- Supports sales / coverage teams and solution leadership to qualify the deal and contribute to the development of the Deal Strategy differentiators win themes and value proposition
- Advises the sales team in the creation of the qualification deck and attends/is involved in sales strategy meetings before Qualification Reviews for Category A and B deals and Category C deals where appropriate
- Engages and works with solution leadership and Market Deal Analyst/Pricing teams to establish Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) / business case analysis to assess client affordability and DXC solution fit discussions
