The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is a highly specialised government department whose mission is to disrupt and deter serious or complex financial crime through prevention investigation and prosecution. We take pride in the work we do to keep New Zealand safe from fraud and corruption.
We employ a talented team of lawyers forensic accountantsinvestigators and electronic forensic counter fraud and policy experts to do just that and importantly we have a small corporate services team that supports our operational teams. About the role
We are seeking an Operations Support Officer for a 12-month fixed-term position based at our Commercial Bay office in Auckland.
The Operations Support Officer plays a key role in providing coordinated case management support and is responsible for the effective administration of enquiries investigations and prosecutions ensuring information from case meetings is accurately captured tasks are well coordinated and reporting is timely accurate and of a high standard. Working closely with Principals as case leads the role proactively identifies and communicates emerging administrative issues to support informed decision-making.
The Operations Support Officer also manages the administration of operational meetings including setting up and maintaining recurring Operations Evaluations and Resource meetings in Outlook and our case management system including taking meeting addition the Operations Support Officer will be responsible for managing the SFO inbox distributing correspondence to relevant internal stakeholders and undertaking initial data entry of fraud complaints received by email.
The role contributes to strong working relationships and supports continuous improvement and business improvement initiatives across the operational function.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring experience delivering efficient and effective administrative support advice and services at a senior level within a professional services or corporate environment supporting multiple team members. You will be confident using Microsoft applications and adaptable in learning new systems and software. You will demonstrate strong organisational capability with the ability to manage and priorities competing commitments while consistently meeting deadlines.
You will build and maintain effective working relationships across the business communicating clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. Your advanced document and information management skills will enable you to analyse information and produce high-quality reports and presentation materials that support decision-making. You will bring a proactive and solutions focused approach applying sound judgement and initiative working effectively under pressure and demonstrating strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
