Handling & Steering Optimization: Address and resolve issues related to vehicle lead/drift/pull steering wander and torque steer to meet performance objectives.
Data Acquisition: Conduct in-vehicle accelerometer measurements including instrumenting vehicles processing data and interpreting results according to quality standards.
Lifecycle Validation: Manage quality testing from up-front design definition through in-vehicle testing on prototype and pre-production (pilot) properties.
Root Cause Analysis: Utilize proactive and reactive problem-solving methodologies to reduce warranty risks and improve overall chassis quality.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Experience: Proven track record in automotive engineering product development.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace; strong written and verbal communication.
Licensing: Must possess a valid drivers license with no physical restrictions for vehicle testing.
Logistics: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to work between Chelsea Proving Grounds Livonia and Auburn Hills.
Preferred Requirements
Chassis Expertise: Deep knowledge of brakes tires steering suspension and mounts.
Data Proficiency: Hands-on experience with vehicle vibration data acquisition and processing.
Quality Certifications: DFSS Green/Black Belt or Shainin Green/Black Belt.
Language: High level of proficiency in English.
