Job Summary
A leading international commercial law firm seeks a private wealth partner to lead its noncontentious trusts and estates offering in Hong Kong. The firm supports highnetworth and ultrahighnetworth families trustees private banks and family offices across Hong Kong and Mainland China providing advice on trust structuring succession planning governance and longterm wealth preservation.
The role sits within a collaborative crossborder platform spanning the firms three Greater China offices. The incoming partner will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the noncontentious practice and work closely with related corporate tax and disputes teams.
A portable client following is essential reflecting the strategic nature of the hire. This role suits a technically strong practitioner who enjoys advising on complex international private wealth matters and building close longterm client relationships.
Ideal profile:
- Extensive experience in noncontentious private wealth and trusts work ideally with crossborder elements.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.
- Demonstrable client following within the private wealth ecosystem.
- Strong capability in trust structuring succession planning and governance.
- Comfortable leading a practice and developing junior lawyers.
