Key Responsibilities
- Review and edit written content for grammar punctuation spelling and syntax
- Ensure consistency with organizational style guides including standards such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style
- Improve clarity readability and overall flow of content
- Verify facts data and references for accuracy and credibility
- Collaborate with writers content creators and marketing teams to refine messaging
- Maintain consistency in tone voice and formatting across all materials
- Edit a variety of content types including articles reports marketing materials and digital content
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve content quality
- Ensure compliance with legal ethical and brand standards
- Assist in developing and updating editorial guidelines and best practices
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in English Journalism Communications or a related field required
- Advanced degrees or editorial certifications are a plus
Experience
- 5 years of professional experience in copy editing proofreading or editorial roles
