At CGI we are looking for a BCP/IT Disaster Recovery Analyst to work on an international project.
Requirements:
- Technician technologist or professional in computer science Software Engineering or related fields.
- Conversational English (B2 level or higher).
- 6-9 years of experience in Business Continuity Planning IT Disaster Recovery risk management or technology operations.
- Strong understanding of BCP ITDR BIA RTO RPO and dependency mapping concepts.
- Experience coordinating with infrastructure application and security teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to produce clear structured documentation and executive level reporting.
- Strong facilitation communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities in a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Analysis & Resiliency Strategy
- Analyze potential risk areas and identify threats to the organizations networks systems applications and data.
- Assess business and technology impacts through Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to define critical processes dependencies and acceptable downtime thresholds.
- Stay current on emerging threats resiliency trends and industry best practices to continuously strengthen organizational preparedness.
Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Develop maintain and govern Business Continuity Plans that enable continued operations during technology cyber or operational disruptions.
- Create and implement comprehensive disaster resiliency plans tailored to business and technology needs.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define continuity strategies aligned with enterprise risk tolerance.
- Coordinate and facilitate tabletop exercises simulations and annual plan testing documenting results and improvement actions.
IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR)
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Cloud Network Application and Security teams to document and maintain IT disaster recovery strategies.
- Define track and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for critical platforms and services.
- Ensure systems and data are properly backed up secure and recoverable in alignment with recovery objectives.
- Support disaster recovery testing evidence collection gap analysis and remediation tracking.
- Coordinate resiliency and recovery efforts following an actual disaster or major incident.
Operational Readiness & Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware software applications integrations and other critical technology resources.
- Ensure recovery plans address end-to-end dependencies including third-party vendors and externally hosted services.
Governance Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations internal policies and standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Maintain continuity and recovery documentation required for audits regulatory reviews and enterprise risk management activities.
- Document all disaster resiliency activities and produce detailed reports on readiness risks testing outcomes and maturity improvements for leadership.
Training & Enablement
- Train technology and business staff on disaster resiliency procedures roles and escalation protocols.
- Translate technical recovery concepts into clear business-focused language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement across technology and business teams.
Additional Skills:
- The ideal candidate is structured analytical and collaborative with the ability to bridge business needs and technical realities. They are comfortable working across Tech Ops and enterprise teams asking the right questions and
bringing clarity to complex dependency and recovery scenarios.
