At CGI we are looking for a BCP/IT Disaster Recovery Analyst to work on an international project.
Requirements:
- Technician technologist or professional in computer science Software Engineering or related fields.
- Conversational English (B2 level or higher).
- 6-9 years of experience in Business Continuity Planning IT Disaster Recovery risk management or technology operations.
- Strong understanding of BCP ITDR BIA RTO RPO and dependency mapping concepts.
- Experience coordinating with infrastructure application and security teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to produce clear structured documentation and executive level reporting.
- Strong facilitation communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities:
Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify critical business processes dependencies and acceptable downtime thresholds.
- Develop maintain and govern Business Continuity Plans that define how business operations continue during technology or operational disruptions.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define recovery priorities and continuity strategies aligned to enterprise risk tolerance.
- Coordinate and facilitate tabletop exercises simulations and annual plan testing documenting results and improvement actions.
IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR)
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Cloud Network Application and Security teams to document and maintain IT disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and integrations.
- Define track and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for key platforms and services.
- Support DR testing execution evidence collection gap analysis and remediation tracking.
- Ensure recovery plans address end to end dependencies including third party services and vendor hosted systems.
Governance Risk and Compliance
- Maintain continuity and recovery documentation required for audits regulatory reviews and enterprise risk management activities.
- Ensure plans align with information security internal controls and technology governance standards.
- Provide clear reporting on readiness risks testing outcomes and maturity improvements to leadership.
Cross Functional Enablement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Tech Ops and other areas on continuity best practices and recovery readiness
- Translate technical recovery concepts into clear business impact language for non technical stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of preparedness and continuous improvement across technology and business teams.
Additional Skills:
- The ideal candidate is structured analytical and collaborative with the ability to bridge business needs and technical realities. They are comfortable working across Tech Ops and enterprise teams asking the right questions and
bringing clarity to complex dependency and recovery scenarios.
- A risk aware mindset balanced with practical actionable solutions
- Strong ownership of documentation testing and follow through
- Confidence partnering with engineers architects security leaders and business stakeholders
- The ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and executive audiences
