About the Role
The successful candidate will teach ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching Computing or ICT at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that support pupils in developing practical ICT skills alongside theoretical understanding.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)
Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering digital literacy data handling and computer systems
Supporting pupils in developing confidence using technology
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through coursework and assessments
Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level ICT or Computing examinations
Maintaining effective use of ICT resources and ensuring classroom systems run smoothly
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as coding or digital skills clubs
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in ICT or Computing
Be confident teaching digital skills and software applications
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
Be organised and adaptable to new technologies
Have the ability to inspire interest in technology and computing
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
