About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class delivering high-quality lessons that support pupils academic progress while fostering confidence and independence. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity across Key Stage 2 and contribute to the development of effective teaching strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum

  • Supporting pupils development in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff

  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Contributing to curriculum development and wider school activities

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum

  • Have excellent classroom management skills

  • Be organised proactive and committed to high standards

  • Have the ability to motivate and engage pupils

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
