About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class delivering high-quality lessons that support pupils academic progress while fostering confidence and independence. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity across Key Stage 2 and contribute to the development of effective teaching strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
Supporting pupils development in literacy numeracy and foundation subjects
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
Building positive relationships with parents and carers
Contributing to curriculum development and wider school activities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Have excellent classroom management skills
Be organised proactive and committed to high standards
Have the ability to motivate and engage pupils
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
